History of the House
The property at 606 Nash Street NE, currently serving as the SigEp NC Iota chapter house, was acquired in 1980 by the NC Iota Householding Corporation.
This acquisition followed the condemnation of the previous house at 701 W. Nash Street in the late 1970s due to safety concerns.

701 W. Nash Street
The original house had stood for over a century before being deemed unsafe.
The current house at 606 Nash Street NE has since been the home of the NC Iota chapter, supporting the fraternity’s activities and housing its members.
Help Us Preserve the Home We All Shared
For over 45 years, the brothers of NC Iota have called 606 Nash Street our home. It’s more than just a house—it’s where lifelong friendships began, leadership was developed, and countless memories were made. But like any home, it needs care.
Maintaining and updating the chapter house requires ongoing attention, repairs, and investment. As we work to ensure it remains a safe, functional, and welcoming place for current and future brothers, we are asking for your help.
Whether you can contribute financially, offer your time, or share your professional expertise, your support makes a real impact. Every bit helps us preserve the legacy of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Barton College.
